Common use of Protection from Water Clause in Contracts

Protection from Water. Unless otherwise mentioned, Contractor shall keep the whole of the Works free from water and allow in his rates for all dams, xxxxxx, dams pumping, piling, shoring, temporary drains, slumps, etc., necessary for this purpose and shall make good at his own cost all damage caused thereby.

Unless otherwise mentioned, The Contractor shall keep the whole of the Works free from water and allow in his rates prices for all dams, xxxxxxcofferdams, dams pumping, piling, shoring, temporary drains, slumps, sumps etc., necessary for this the purpose and shall clear away and make good at his own cost and to the satisfaction of the Engineer all damage caused thereby. The drainage of the natural ground in the vicinity of the earthworks and drainage work generally shall be carried out in advance of the rest of the Works.
