Protection of Conduit. Against Rust The outer surface of conduit including all bends, unions, tees, junction boxes etc. forming part of conduit system shall be adequately protected against rust when such system is exposed to weather by being painted with two coats of oxide paint applied before they are fixed. In all cases, no bar threaded portion of conduit pipe shall be allowed. Unless such bare thread portion of conduit is treated with anti- corrosive preservation or covered with approved plastic compound.
