Common use of Public Purposes Clause in Contracts

Public Purposes. A. Public Purposes: The DALLAS ISD Board of Trustees identifies the following proper educational public purposes for DALLAS ISD's support of the DEF: 1. Because of the uncertainty and restrictions inherent in the Texas public school finance system, DALLAS ISD must seek alternative sources of revenue to continue and/or enhance its quality educational programs. 2. Maximization of alternative revenue sources requires strong community support. 3. The DEF is the nonprofit education corporation organized for educational and charitable purposes specifically for DALLAS ISD. The DEF invests time and resources to generate and improve community support for creating alternative revenue sources that benefit DALLAS ISD and its students. 4. Strong community support to assist DALLAS ISD in maximizing alternative revenue sources requires reciprocal commitment and support from DALLAS ISD.
