Common use of Purchase of Weapon Clause in Contracts

Purchase of Weapon. Upon retirement from the Police Division (with ten (10) years or more of service), each Bargaining Unit Member shall have the right to purchase their service weapon and related magazines. The price of the weapon will be based on a depreciation schedule of twenty percent (20%) per service year, with a minimum value of one dollar ($1.00). The Chief shall maintain a record of make, model and serial number of said weapon in the name of the retired officer.
