Common use of Purchase or Establishment of New Business, Business Unit or Location Clause in Contracts

Purchase or Establishment of New Business, Business Unit or Location. In the event that, after the Effective Date, CHSI purchases or establishes a new business, business unit or hospital related to the furnishing of items or services that may be reimbursed by Federal health care programs, CHSI shall notify OIG at least 30 days prior to such purchase or the operation of the new business, business unit or hospital. This notification shall include the address of the new business, business unit or hospital, phone number, fax number, the hospital’s Medicare and state Medicaid program provider number and/or supplier number(s); and the name and address of each Medicare and state Medicaid program contractor to which CHSI currently submits claims. Each new business, business unit or hospital and all Covered Persons at each new business, business unit or hospital shall be subject to the applicable requirements of this CIA unless otherwise agreed to in writing by the OIG.
