Purpose of the Personal Promotion Portfolio. Portfolio development has three related purposes that will serve as the basis for evaluation and recommendation for promotion: (a) To document the professional growth of a faculty member; (b) to assist each faculty member in the process of personal assessment; and (c) to demonstrate accomplishment and excellence to the PAC and the President for potential promotion.
