Qualifications of a Mediator. 1) Any mediator selected must have expertise in the area of the dispute and be knowledgeable in the mediation process. 2) No person shall serve as a mediator in any dispute in which that person has any financial or personal interest in the result of the mediation. 3) Before accepting an appointment, the prospective mediator must disclose any circumstances likely to create a presumption of bias or prevent a prompt meeting with the Parties. Upon receipt of such information, the Parties will confer and decide whether to select another mediator.
