Common use of Quality and Best Value Clause in Contracts

Quality and Best Value. The Contractor acknowledges that the Authority is a best value authority for the purposes of the Local Government Act 1999 and as such the Authority is required to make arrangements to secure continuous improvement in the way it exercises its functions (having regard to a combination of economy, efficiency and effectiveness) and, as such, the Contractor will, where reasonably requested by the Authority, participate in any relevant best value review.

Quality and Best Value. The Contractor acknowledges that the Authority is a best value authority for the purposes of the Local Government Act 1999 and as such the Authority is required to make arrangements to secure continuous improvement in the way it exercises its functions (having regard to a combination of economy, efficiency and effectiveness) and, as such, the Contractor willwill assist the Authority to discharge the Authority’s duty where possible, and in doing so, carry out any review of the Services where reasonably requested by the Authority, participate Authority from time to time. The Contractor agrees to negotiate in good faith (acting reasonably) any relevant changes to this Contract in order for the Authority to achieve best value reviewvalue.

Accordingly, the Contractor willshall, where reasonably requested by the Authority, participate in any relevant best value reviewreview and shall maintain an effective and economical programme for quality management, planned and developed in conjunction with any other functions of the Contractor necessary to satisfy the requirement contemplated in this Contract.
