Minnesota Advantage Health Plan (Advantage) The health coverage portion of the State Employee Group Insurance Program is provided through the Minnesota Advantage Health Plan (Advantage), a self-insured health plan offering four (4) Benefit Level options. Provider networks and claim administration are provided by multiple plan administrators. Coverage offered through Advantage is determined by Section 6A2.
Coverage Under the Minnesota Advantage Health Plan From July 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019, health coverage under the SEGIP will continue at the level in effect on June 30, 2019. Effective January 1, 2020, Advantage will cover eligible services subject to the copayments, deductibles and coinsurance coverage limits stated. Services provided through Advantage are subject to the managed care procedures and principles, including standards of medical necessity and appropriate practice, of the plan administrators. Interlibrary Loan Using electronic, paper, or intermediated means, the Participating Institutions may at their discretion fulfill occasional requests from other institutions, a practice commonly called Interlibrary Loan ("ILL"). The Distributor agrees and ensures that the Publisher will agree that the electronic form of the Licensed Materials may be used as a source for the ILL whereby articles and/or chapters can be printed and these print copies can be delivered via postal mail, fax, or fax-based service to fulfill ILL requests from an academic, research or other non-commercial library. Requests received from for-profit companies will not be honored. An ILL through secure electronic transmission, as demonstrated by the ARIEL, is permitted. Files transmitted in this manner must carry copyright notices and comply with the applicable law.
