REAPPOINTMENT RIGHTS. A. Employees who resign in good standing, if reemployed within one (1) year from the date of resignation, shall retain credit for their years of experience as a unit member with the District and shall retain their unused accumulated sick leave earned prior to termination. Additionally, credit for any courses previously attained prior to resignation shall remain valid. Such an employee's salary shall be in accordance with the salary schedule for the position to which the person is being employed. The returning employee shall serve a forty-five (45) day probationary period and shall be placed on the first step of the salary schedule and shall not be able to use sick leave until the completion of the probationary period. The employee shall be placed on the same step level, or the equivalent, held in his/her former classification and paid retroactively to the beginning date of reemployment after satisfactorily completing the probationary period.
