Common use of Recent Hires Clause in Contracts

Recent Hires. The Agency shall prepare and furnish to the Association a seniority list within thirty (30) days of the close of the last pay periods in the months of November, February, May and August. Seniority shall be fixed upon issuance of each such list until the next seniority list is issued. Nurses hired between these quarterly seniority lists shall be deemed to have less seniority than all nurses on the most recent such list. The length of continuous service of such a nurse shall be based on his/her most recent date of hire (not hours) until the nurse is placed on a seniority list, at which time the nurse’s length of continuous service shall be computed on the basis of hours paid since the most recent date of hire.
