Reciprocal Commitment. Kaimahi have an obligation to maintain and enhance their competencies, in their teaching areas, as educators, and cultural competence. The employer has a responsibility to ensure that kaimahi receive timely and appropriate training and opportunities for professional development. The employer recognises the unique and important role that hui Māori and taukiri Māori development (Māori identity development) opportunities play in the personal and professional development of the Tuakiritanga of kaimahi Māori.
