RECLASSIFICATION AND PROGRESSION. Section 38.1 Reclassification shall be differentiated from promotions. For the purpose of this section, promotional processes shall be defined in Article 39 β Promotion. Reclassification shall be defined as a change in classification and/or pay grade resulting from the processes defined below. Reclassification may be approved by the Mayor only after a thorough evaluation of the position by the Human Resources Director or his/her designee.
