Common use of Recruitment and Enrollment of Students Clause in Contracts

Recruitment and Enrollment of Students. (1) Dallas ISD staff will recruit eighth graders annually utilizing a recruitment plan with input from all stakeholders, Dallas ISD, Early College High School, UNTD, and Industry Partners that include regular activities to inform all stakeholders of the opportunity for a qualified student(s) to attend an Early College High School. a. Creation of a P-TECH website that provides recruitment and admission information; b. Distribution of recruitment/admission packets to middle school students in the school district; c. Meetings with middle school counselors to introduce and explain the concept of P-TECH; d. Student/parent meetings at all middle school campuses explaining the opportunities and commitment required of P-TECH; e. Presentation of recruitment and admission information in a bilingual format (2) UNTD will assist and participate with recruitment, enrollment and retention, as necessary, for all students who are qualified and wish to enroll in the Early College High School. (3) Should the number of qualified applicants (target student population defined on page 1, paragraph 3) exceed the number of available spaces, a weighted lottery will be used to determine the ninth-grade cohort.
