Reduction in Work Schedule. 1. A unit member, at the sole discretion of the District, shall have the option of reducing his/her work schedule.
a. Reduced work schedule employment shall be a proportional equivalent of the number of days or time of service required by the unit members' calendar of the current year.
b. The unit member shall be paid a salary which is the pro rata share of the salary that would have been earned had the unit member not elected to exercise the option of reduction in work schedule.
Reduction in Work Schedule. In the event a 12-month full-time position is reduced to a 10-month full-time position, the employee shall retain any accumulated sick leave earned at the time of the reduction of the position.
