Common use of Referee Assignor Clause in Contracts

Referee Assignor. The Tournament Referee Assignor must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age, be licensed as a US Soccer (USSF) Referee Assignor in Illinois, must have passed the required IYSA Background Search, submitted he Heads Up Concussion in Youth Sports Completion Certificate, submitted the current annual US Center for Safe Sport Training Completion Certificate, and is in good standing with Illinois Soccer Referee Committee (ISRC), IYSA, ISSA, USSF at the time of this Tournament. The Referee Assignor must ensure that any referee aged 18 or older has passed the required IYSA Background Search, submitted the Heads Up Concussion Completion Certificate and the current annual US Center for Safe Sport Training Completion Certificate. The Referee Assignor must only assign referees who are currently US Soccer licensed and are in good standing with the IYSA, ISSA, ISRC, USSF at the time of this Tournament. The use of “out of state” or foreign referees must be approved by the ISRC prior the tournament, as those referees must be in compliance with ISRC risk management policies and must be on good standing with the state referee committee with which they are registered. The Tournament Referee Assignor(s) must attend the annual IYSA Tournament Referee Assignors Meeting. It is highly recommended that the Tournament Director and the Tournament’s Referee Assignor not be the same person. The Tournament Referee Assignor must collect and maintain the IYSA Medical Release & Liability Waiver for all referees in the Tournament. The Tournament Referee Assignor shall abide by the Illinois and Federal Child Labor Laws.

The Assignor must be in good standing with Illinois Soccer Referee Committee (ISRC), IYSA, ISSA, USSF at the time of this Tournament. The Referee Assignor must ensure that any referee aged 18 or older has passed is in compliance with the USSF referee requirements and the referee requirements listed in the Referees section of this Agreement and collect the required IYSA Background Search, submitted the Heads Up Concussion Completion Certificate and the current annual US Center for Safe Sport Training Completion Certificatedocuments from all referees he/she assigns. The Tournament Referee Assignor must collect and maintain the IYSA Medical Release & Liability Waiver for and the IYSA Communicable Disease Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement from all referees in used at the Tournament. The Tournament Referee Assignor shall abide by the Illinois and Federal Child Labor Laws. The Tournament Host and Referee Assignor agree to accept only the number of teams for whom they can provide USSF licensed and ISRC certified referees.

The Referee Assignor must ensure that any referee aged 18 or older has passed the required IYSA Background Search. Additionally, submitted the Heads Up Concussion Completion Certificate and the current annual US Center for Safe Sport Training Completion Certificate. The Referee Assignor must only assign referees who are currently US Soccer licensed in Illinois and are who have met the ISRC compliance requirements including but not limited to having the Heads Up Concussion in Youth Sports Completion Certificate and Abuse Prevention or Safe Sport Training Completion Certificate and be in good standing with the IYSA, ISSA, ISRC, USSF at the time of this Tournament. The use of “out of state” or foreign referees must be approved by the ISRC prior the tournament, as those referees must be in compliance with ISRC risk management policies and must be on good standing with the state referee committee with which they are registered. The Tournament Referee Assignor(s) must attend the annual IYSA Tournament Referee Assignors Meeting. It is highly recommended that the Tournament Director and the Tournament’s Referee Assignor not be the same person. The use of “out of state” or foreign referees must be approved by the ISRC prior the tournament, as those referees must be in compliance with ISRC risk management policies and must be on good standing with the state referee committee with which they are registered. The Tournament Referee Assignor(s) for any tournament sanctioned by the IYSA must attend the annual IYSA Tournament Referee Assignors Meeting. Referees The Tournament Host and Referee Assignor agree to use only referees that at the time of this Tournament are currently registered and USSF certified and that are in good standing with the IYSA, ISRC, and USSF unless a waiver has been granted by the ISRC or USSF to allow the use of other referees, including but no limited to referees from another country. Referees aged 18 and older who work youth games must collect and maintain be on file with the ISRC as having successfully completed the IYSA Medical Release & Liability Waiver Background Search. Tournament Host will submit the list of Tournament referees to the IYSA with the Post Tournament Report. 2011 IYSA Tournament Host Sanctioning Agreement Page 1 of 3 Referee Development Assessment Support Tournaments provide a great opportunity for all referees to get mentored and assessed. If your tournament wants to be acknowledged for contributing to referee development, please work with your referee assignor to request referee assessments and submit a separate check made payable to the Illinois Soccer Referee Committee -Tournament Assessor in the Tournamentamount listed below. Send it to the IYSA with your payment. The Illinois Soccer Referee Committee will assign the Tournament Assessor to perform the USSF developmental assessments. Recommended Guidelines: 91-199 Teams-$100 for 4 Assessments 9200-299 Teams-$150 for 6 Assessments 9 300+ Teams-$200 for 8 Assessments Tournament Cancellation If this Tournament is canceled prior to its start due to an Aact of nature@ as determined by the IYSA, this Tournament will refund the team=s entry fee with the option of retaining up to 20% of the team entry fee and clearly state the cancellation policy on the Team Entry and acknowledgment form. If a tournament is cancelled for any other reason it will refund the team=s entire entry fee. The Tournament Referee Assignor shall abide Sanctioning Fee will not be refunded if this Tournament is canceled. Written notice of cancellation and/or date change must be submitted to the IYSA prior to the tournament start date. Player Insurance Coverage All teams that are registered and in good standing with the IYSA at the time of this Tournament are covered by the Illinois IYSA medical and Federal Child Labor Lawsliability policy. All non-IYSA teams/players, shall use their own insurance or they can register as a tournament team/player with the IYSA to obtain tournament insurance from the IYSA. IYSA insurance does not cover non-IYSA players/teams and the IYSA Tournament sanction does not apply to over-age and/or adult division participants.
