(1) If an assignment is changed without six (6) weeks notice, the supervisor will provide the employee with a written explanation of the rationale for the assignment change with a copy to the Xxxx, no later than seven (7) days after the change has been made.
(2) Upon written request, the University will provide the UFF with a copy of the rationale for the assignment change referenced in 9.2-C.1.

Change in Assignment. In the interest of both parties, a teacher shall be informed of his/her teaching assignment or any changes thereof, prior to the end of the school year or as early as possible in cases of emergency.
Change in Assignment. 25.05.1 Professional Staff Members requesting a change of grade level in their building or teaching subject area assignment in their building, and in accordance with their certification, shall submit a request in writing, by April 1st, to their Building Principal. The building Principal shall respond in writing regarding this request.
25.05.2 Professional Staff Members assigned by the Principal/Administration to a change of grade level or teaching subject area assignment, in accordance with their certification, within a building may request a conference to discuss the assignment and, if it is finally decided by the Principal/Administration that such assignment shall be made, the Professional Staff Member may request the reason in writing. It will be the responsibility of the Administration to provide orientation when changes of assignment occur.
25.05.3 The change of a grade level or teaching subject area within a building may not be made for arbitrary or capricious reasons. Upon request, the written reasons given by the administrator for a change of grade level or teaching subject area within a building as referenced in 25.05.2 will be clear and specific.
25.05.4 All changes in assignment as referenced in 25.05 will be completed by May 1st.
Change in Assignment. 9.1 An employee with permanent status in the current class who meets all University eligibility requirements may apply for a change in assignment to a different position in the same class or a different class having the same pay range maximum, a different work unit, or a different shift at the University according to University procedures. Prior to filling a vacancy, except by demotion, the University shall consider the needs of the Department and applicable change in assignment requests. The hiring authority shall normally fill a bonafide vacancy based on an employee's seniority, skills, knowledge, experience, performance, and training. Any training or experiential opportunities specifically related to a foreseen vacancy shall be offered on a competitive basis based upon the factors listed above.
Change in Assignment. Subject to the approval of the Appointing Officer and the operational needs of the department, a Level I employee who possesses the requisite Level II qualifications and who is assigned the Level II duties shall be assigned to Level II and appointed at the Step corresponding to the requisite years of experience.

(3) If a faculty member has been assigned or reassigned a course or a course’s modality has been changed fewer than two (2) weeks prior to the beginning of the semester, such circumstances will be taken into account when reviewing the faculty members’ performance.

An employee who has completed the position orientation year who meets all University eligibility requirements may apply for a change in assignment to a different position in the same class or a different shift at the University according to University procedures. Prior to filling a vacancy, except by demotion, the University shall consider the needs of the Department and applicable change in assignment requests. The hiring authority shall normally fill a bona fide vacancy with the employee who has the greatest length of service in the class who is best qualified for the position and who has submitted a change in assignment request. If, however, the employee with the greatest length of service in the class is not selected for the vacant position, all employees who have requested a change in assignment who have a greater length of service than the individual selected shall be notified in writing of the University's decision, with a copy to the PBA. Except when agreed otherwise by the PBA and the University, the notification shall contain the reason(s) the less senior applicant was selected.

(2) If a change in assignment results in needing to move University supplies or equipment, the University shall provide assistance in such a move and shall notify the faculty member of the time of the move at least one (1) month in advance.
(3) The University shall make a good faith effort not to change a faculty member’s teaching assignment less than four (4) weeks prior to the first class session.
(4) If a faculty member has been assigned or reassigned a course fewer than four (4) weeks prior to the first class session, such circumstances shall be taken into consideration when reviewing student evaluations of the course.
