Common use of Reference Letters Clause in Contracts

Reference Letters. (1) Reference letters are required for Promotion Reviews and Full Reviews. (2) Reference letters are added to the faculty dossier by the xxxxxxx’x office and become a part of the reappointment or promotion packet. (3) Letters are not required for promotion to Senior Instructor. (4) Reference letters are confidential and will be requested using a template that instructs the external reviewer regarding the materials supplied, and any special considerations, including the University’s history, teaching expectations, and research infrastructure. This template will be developed according to and as part of the process laid out in Section 6.6(f)(6).
