Common use of Refusal of Roommate Clause in Contracts

Refusal of Roommate. If there is a vacancy in a resident’s room, an individual’s refusal (including, but not limited to verbal, behavioral, or other means of rejection) of a roommate(s) or unwillingness to work with Residence Life and First Year Experience staff in finding a roommate will result in the individual being charged a higher room rate consistent with the actual room occupancy. Refusal of a roommate(s) may also result in relocation and/or disciplinary action for the Individual.
