Regional Campuses. The University will provide Area 2 parking for all faculty at regional campuses. Parking rates at campus locations other than Storrs, except as noted below, shall be the same as the Area 2 rates at the Storrs campus. Bargaining unit members purchasing parking permits at the campus at which they are primarily employed shall have the parking permit honored at comparable or lesser types of parking at other campuses when travelling to such locations for University business. The University reserves the right to also provide non-Area 2 parking at any campus. If non-Area 2 parking is made available to bargaining unit members, the rates will be negotiated with UConn-AAUP.
Regional Campuses. The University has the right to institute parking fees at the regional campuses. If parking fees are instituted at the regional campuses, with the exception of the anticipated downtown Hartford campus, rates shall be the same as the Area 2 rates at the Storrs campus. Parking fees for the downtown Hartford campus shall be the same as the garage rates charged at the Storrs campus. The University agrees, however, to discuss with AAUP a sliding scale based on salary for parking fees at the proposed downtown Hartford campus for adjunct faculty and lower paid members of the bargaining unit before charging parking fees. Bargaining unit members purchasing parking permits at the campus at which they are primarily employed shall have the parking permit honored at comparable or lesser types of parking at other campuses when travelling to such locations for University business.
Regional Campuses. Subject to the approval of the Vice President for Student Affairs, each regional campus shall establish a judicial system, which is consistent with the principles and structure of the system as outlined in this document. STUDENT RIGHTS, FREEDOMS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES The university commits itself to guaranteeing its students the rights discussed in the following paragraphs, insofar as 1) they do not contradict either state or federal statutes, all of which are binding upon IUP as a state-owned and operated institution, and 2) they are not incompatible with the instructor's freedom to teach.
