Scope and Definitions 1. The provisions of this Chapter shall apply to standards, technical regulations, and conformity assessment procedures as defined in the WTO TBT Agreement in so far as they affect trade covered by this Agreement.
2. For the purposes of this Chapter, the definitions used by the WTO TBT Agreement shall apply.
Loan Regulations; Definitions Section 1.01. All provisions of the Special Operations Loan Regulations of ADB, dated 1 January 2006 (“Loan Regulations”), are hereby made applicable to this Loan Agreement with the same force and effect as if they were fully set forth herein.
Section 1.02. Wherever used in this Loan Agreement, the several terms defined in the Loan Regulations have the respective meanings therein set forth unless modified herein or the context otherwise requires. Additional terms used in this Loan Agreement have the following meanings:

Interpretations and Definitions 2.01 For the purpose of this Agreement:
Regulations T, U and X No Loan Party is or will be engaged in the business of extending credit for the purpose of purchasing or carrying margin stock (within the meaning of Regulation T, U or X), and no proceeds of any Loan will be used to purchase or carry any margin stock or to extend credit to others for the purpose of purchasing or carrying any margin stock or for any purpose that violates, or is inconsistent with, the provisions of Regulation T, U and X.
Principles of Interpretation and Definitions (1) The singular includes the plural and the plural the singular. The pronouns “it” and “its” include the masculine and feminine. References to statutes or regulations include all statutory or regulatory provisions consolidating, amending, or replacing the statute or regulation. References to contracts and agreements shall be deemed to include all amendments to them. The words “include,” “including,” etc. mean include, including, etc. without limitation.
(2) References to a “Section” or “section” shall mean a section of this contract.
(3) “Contract” and “Agreement,” whether or not capitalized, refer to this instrument. (4) “Duties” includes obligations.
