Reimbursement for Mileage. A. In the event an employee is required by the Fire Chief or his designated representative to use a personal vehicle for the conduct of District business, the employee shall be reimbursed for each mile traveled at the current rate established by the current applicable IRS rate or the Board of Fire Commissioners, whichever is greater. B. In the event an employee is contacted while off-duty and is required by the Fire Chief or his designated representative to report to a station which is not his regularly assigned station to work his regularly scheduled shift and if he needs to pick up his personal equipment at his regular station, said employee shall be paid mileage from his regular station to his newly assigned station. Retrieving personal equipment from his regularly assigned duty station is not to be considered hours worked.
