The contractor shall make sufficient arrangement for draining away the sludge water as well as water coming from the bathing and washing places and shall dispose off this water in such a way so as not to cause any substance. He shall also keep the premise clean by employing sufficient number of sweepers. The contractor shall comply with all rules, regulation bylaws and directions given from time to time by any local or public authority in connection with this work and shall pay fees or charges which are leviable on him without any extra cost to Government. (vide Govt Circular No CST -1086 / CR-243 /Ka Building 2 /Mantralaya Bombay dt 11 September 1987 circular No 1091-/CR -60/ Bldg -2 dt 14 th October 1991 regarding incorporation additional condition for quality assurance and Maintaince Manual) To ensure the specific quality of work which will also include necessary surveys, temporary works, etc., the contractor shall prepare a quality assurance plan and get the same approved from the Engineer-in-charge within one month from the date of work order. For this, the contractor shall submit an organisation chart of his technical personnel to be deployed on the work along with their qualification, job description defining the function of reporting, supervising, inspecting and approving. The contractor shall also submit a list of tools, equipment and the machinery and instrumentation, which he proposes to use for the construction and for testing in the field and/or in the laboratory and monitoring. The contractor shall modify supplement the organisation chart and the list of Machinery/ equipment etc. as per the direction of the Superintending Engineer and shall deploy the personnel and equipment on the field as per the approved chart and the list respectively. The contractor shall submit written method statements dealing his exact proposal of execution of the work in accordance with the specification. He will have to get these approved from the Engineer-in-charge. The quality of the work shall be property documented through certificates, records, check lists and Log book of results etc. such records shall be complied from the beginning of the work and be continuously updated subsequently and this will be the responsibility of the contractor.
