RELOCATING TO ALASKA. When an Engineer Officer whose residence is other than the State of Alaska, and moves his or her legal residence to within the State of Alaska, then the Engineer Officer will be entitled to reimbursement for moving expenses in accordance with the State Administrative Manual. Such changes of residence must occur within a year of the Engineer Officer's initial hire date unless required by the Employer.
RELOCATING TO ALASKA. When a Deck Officer whose residence is other than the State of Alaska and moves his or her legal residence within the State of Alaska, then the Deck Officer will be entitled to reimbursement for moving expenses in accordance with the State Administrative Manual. Such changes of residence must occur within three (3) years of the Deck Officer’s initial bid award unless required by the Employer. Prior to conducting Union Business, Authorized representatives of the Union shall, as a courtesy, notify the AMHS Operations Manager, or designee. The Union representative will sign in and receive a visitor’s pass and notify the Master or the deck officer on watch before being allowed to go on the Employer's property and on board vessels while in port covered by this Agreement. Passenger Trip passes for authorized Union representatives, limited to no more than two (2) per calendar year, for traveling aboard the vessel shall be issued by the General Manager or designee upon request. The Union agrees that the Employer is absolved from all claims resulting from any accident involving such representatives while on the property or on board vessels of the Employer. No individual or group of Deck Officers will be interrupted in their work.
