Common use of Rent Restrictions Clause in Contracts

Rent Restrictions. On each and every occasion during the Term that Rent Restrictions shall be in force, then and in each and every case: (a) the operation of the provisions herein for review of the rent shall be postponed to take effect on the first date or dates thereafter upon which such operation may occur; and (b) the collection of any increase or increases in the rent shall be postponed to take effect on the first date or dates thereafter that such increase or increases may be collected and/or retained in whole or in part and on as many occasions as shall be required to ensure the collection of the whole increase; AND until the Rent Restrictions shall be relaxed either partially or wholly the rent reserved by this Lease (which if previously reviewed shall be the rent payable under this Lease immediately prior to the imposition of the Rent Restrictions) shall (subject always to any provision to the contrary appearing in the Rent Restrictions) be the maximum rent from time to time payable hereunder.

Rent Restrictions. On each and every occasion during the Term that Rent Restrictions shall be in force, then and in each and every caseprevent or prohibit either wholly or partially: (a) 9.1 the operation of the above provisions herein for review of the rent Rent; or 9.2 the normal collection and retention by the Landlord of any increase in the Rent or any instalment or part thereof THEN in each such case: 9.3 the operation of such provisions for review of the Rent shall be postponed to take effect on the first date or dates thereafter upon which such operation may occuroccur Provided that such operation shall not take place more frequently than would be the case in the absence of any Rent Restrictions throughout the Term of this Lease; and (b) 9.4 the collection of any increase or increases in the rent Rent shall be postponed to take effect on the first date or dates thereafter that such increase or increases may be collected and/or retained in whole or in part and on as many occasions as shall be required to ensure the collection of the whole increase; increase AND until the Rent Restrictions shall be relaxed either partially or wholly the rent reserved by this Lease (which if previously reviewed Rent shall be the rent payable under this Lease immediately prior to the imposition of the Rent Restrictions) shall (subject always to any provision to the contrary appearing in the Rent Restrictions) be the maximum rent sum from time to time payable hereunderpermitted by the Rent Restrictions.
