Common use of Repatriation of Mortal Remains Clause in Contracts

Repatriation of Mortal Remains. In the event an Insured dies outside of his/her country of residence, the Insurer will pay up to five thousand dollars ($5,000) toward repatriation of the deceased’s remains to the deceased’s country of residence if the death resulted from a condition which would have been covered under the terms of the policy had the Insured survived. Cover- age is limited to only those services and supplies necessary to prepare the deceased’s body and to transport the deceased to his country of residence. Arrangements must be coordinated in conjunction with USA Medical Services.
