Replacement of Safety Glasses as Prescription Changes. In the event a prescription change warrants new prescription safety glasses at any time after the second anniversary of the date of issue of the individual's current safety glasses, new prescription safety glasses will be furnished at no cost to the employee, except that the employee will bear the cost of optical examination. New lenses which are required because of a prescription change prior to the second anniversary of the date of issue of the individual's current safety glasses will be furnished at no cost to the employee upon certification of need by a physician in the practice of Ophthalmology. In such case, the employee will bear the cost of the optical examination.
