Representation and Other a. An aggrieved person shall be present and may be represented at all stages of the grievance procedure by a person of his/her own choosing. If the aggrieved person chooses a representative other than the Union or Union representative(s), the Union shall have the right to be present at all meetings and receive a copy of all decisions. b. Since it is important that grievances be processed as rapidly as possible, the number of days indicated at each stage should be considered as a maximum and every effort should be made to expedite the process. The time limits specified may, however, be extended by mutual consent.
