Common use of Requests for Clarification or Information Clause in Contracts

Requests for Clarification or Information. The Contractor shall submit requests for clarification or information sufficiently in advance of the time required for the Work to be done to allow the Authority and the Architect sufficient time to review the matter and to render a decision. Such requests shall include the following information where applicable: (a) details and nature of the matter; (b) details and locations of conflicts; (c) drawing numbers and detail numbers involved; (d) identification of items involved; (e) Contractor's requested or preferred solution (include sketches or narratives as needed); and (f) impact on other new or existing items of Work or physical features.
