Common use of Requests to Reconsider Clause in Contracts

Requests to Reconsider. Any Director may move to reconsider any action that pertains to items contained in Article XII (BUDGET AND EXPENSES) including, but not limited to, the issuance of notes or other forms of indebtedness, including entering into leases for real property or equipment, the approval or modification of the annual budget, and for construction contracts 10 million dollars or more or service contracts that exceed 1 million dollars over the life of the contract. A request for reconsideration must be made at the meeting in which the vote sought to be reconsidered was taken. If a request for reconsideration is made, it must be agendized for the following meeting, which may not be less than 14 days and not more than 30 days from the date of the original action. In the event of such a request, that action shall be deemed suspended. If at least 70 percent of the Contracted Proportionate Share votes against the action at the meeting it is reconsidered, the original action shall be deemed void.
