Requirement by College to Take Leave. 34.5 Notwithstanding clause 34.1, where the duties of a pregnant Faculty Member’s position cannot reasonably be performed by a pregnant woman or the performance of the Faculty Member’s work is materially affected, the College shall attempt to temporarily modify the Faculty Member’s duties or temporarily re-assign the Faculty Member to alternate duties. Where modification or re-assignment is not reasonably possible, the College may require the Faculty Member to take unpaid leave of absence or sick leave, as appropriate.
