Requirement of Writing. ‌ Notice of dismissal shall be in writing and shall set forth the reasons for dismissal. An employee who fails to report for duty for ten (10) consecutive working days, without informing the Vice-President, Academic, Xxxx, Director or Regional Campus Principal or in their absence the Director of Human Resources or designate of the reason for the absence, will be presumed to have abandoned the position. An employee shall be afforded the opportunity to rebut such presumption and demonstrate that there were reasonable grounds for not informing the Employer.
