Residency details. ARTISTS will be in residence with Seattle Opera for a duration of no less than five (5) months and up to twelve (12) months per contract year to be determined with ARTIST’s offer letter. ARTISTS will be mentored and supported as follows: ○ Prepare one (1) to two (2) full opera roles during their residency. ○ Cover or perform mainstage production roles for a minimum of two (2) productions up to a maximum of five (5) productions. ○ Prepare and perform one (1) to two (2) separate recital programs. ○ Prepare and perform one (1) audition package for MANAGEMENT, and if possible, visiting agents and guest artists. ○ About Opera business and networking by MANAGEMENT staff. ARTISTS will be given additional opportunities to be coached by MANAGEMENT’S music staff and visiting artists, to the extent possible. In addition, upon arrival, MANAGEMENT will give each ARTIST no less than Two Thousand non-taxable Dollars ($2,000) per contract year to be used for voice lessons. ● COMPENSATION MANAGEMENT will compensate each ARTIST the CBA rates as set forth in AGMA Schedule C for all assigned roles (A list of possible roles for the 2023-24 contract year is included as Exhibit “A” below).
Residency details. The nature of the artwork created could result in photography, painting, installation, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, performance, video or other agreed medium.
