Responsibilities of the District. 12.1. The District shall examine the documents submitted by the Consultant and shall render decisions so as to avoid unreasonable delay in the process of the Consultant’s services. 12.2. The District shall provide to the Consultant complete information regarding the District’s requirements for the Project. 12.3. The District shall retain design professional(s) whose services, duties and responsibilities shall be described in written agreement(s) between the District and design professional(s). 12.4. The District shall, in a timely manner, and with Consultant’s assistance, secure, submit and pay for necessary approvals, easements, assessments, permits and charges required for the construction, use, or occupancy of permanent structures or for permanent changes in existing facilities, subject to Consultant’s and/or the design professional(s) duties to recommend or provide same. 12.5. The District, its representatives, and consultants shall communicate with the contractor either directly or through the Consultant. 12.6. During the Construction Phase of the Project, the District may require that the contractors submit all notices and communication relating to the Project directly to the Consultant. 12.7. The District shall designate an officer, employee and/or other authorized representatives to act on the District’s behalf with respect to the Project. The District’s representative for the Project shall be available during working hours and as often as may be required to render decisions and to furnish information in a timely manner.
