Revenue Sharing Payments. In addition to the compensation described above, LPL receives under LPL’s sponsorship programs compensation (sometimes referred to as “revenue sharing”) from the product providers and/or their affiliates of mutual funds, alternative investments, and variable annuities, some of which may be in connection with LPL’s arrangement with the Plan. LPL enters into agreements with each of the product providers related to the sponsorship programs.
