REVENUE. 12 A. CLIENT FEES – CONTRACTOR shall charge, unless waived by ADMINISTRATOR, a fee to 13 19 clients to whom billable services, other than those amounts reimbursed by Medicare, Medi-Cal or other 14 20 third party health plans, are provided pursuant to this Agreement, their estates and responsible relatives, 15 21 according to their ability to pay as determined by the State Department of Health Care Services’ 16 22 “Uniform Method of Determining Ability to Pay” (UMDAP) procedure or by any other payment 17 23 procedure as approved in advance, and in writing by ADMINISTRATOR; and in accordance with Title 18 24 9 of the California Code of Regulations. Such fee shall not exceed the actual cost of services provided. 19 25 No client shall be denied services because of an inability to pay. 20 26 B. THIRD-PARTY REVENUE – CONTRACTOR shall make every reasonable effort to obtain all 21 27 available third-party reimbursement for which persons served pursuant to this Agreement may be 22 28 eligible. Charges to insurance carriers shall be on the basis of CONTRACTOR’s usual and customary 23 29 charges. 24 30 C. PROCEDURES – CONTRACTOR shall maintain internal financial controls which adequately 25 31 ensure proper billing and collection procedures.
