Right of Discharge or Discipline. The City shall have the right to discharge or discipline any employee for employment related dishonesty, insubordination, being under the influence of alcohol or drugs while on duty, incompetence, willful negligence, failure to perform work as required or to observe the Department's safety rules and the Department's rules and regulations which must be conspicuously posted and not in derogation of the Memorandum of Understanding, or for engaging in strikes, individual or group slowdowns or work stoppages, or for violating or ordering the violation of the Memorandum of Understanding.
