Rights of Introductory Tenants. 1 Security of Tenure You can live in your home for the rest of your life as long as you do what your tenancy agreement says. On the anniversary date of your introductory tenancy, you will automatically become a secure tenant and gain the additional rights of a secure tenancy (unless your landlord has taken steps to end your tenancy or your tenancy has been extended).
