Role of Panel. Within 15 days of the proposed sanction being referred to the panel, the hearing will be scheduled by the Office of the Xxxxxxx in consultation with the UPI Chapter President. Within 30 days of the proposed sanction being referred to the panel, the panel shall meet to review the reasons for the proposed sanction and related documentation. The panel has a right to request of both the University and the Employee identifiable documents related to the written charges. The burden of proof that a sanction is warranted and appropriate rests with the University.
