ROOM AND BOARD. The following conditions will apply for employees whose regular residence* is more than 97 radius kilometers from the project:
ROOM AND BOARD. Shall be defined as all charges, by whatever name called, which are made by a Hospital, Hospice, or Skilled Nursing Facility as a condition of providing Inpatient Services. Such charges do not include the professional Services of Physicians nor intensive, private duty Nursing Services by whatever name called.
ROOM AND BOARD. 14.01 Employees whose home is further than forty (40) road kilometers from the marshalling point or yard shall be supplied suitable free room and board or a subsistence allowance when required by the Employer to remain away from home. When the Employer elects to provide the subsistence allowance in lieu of supplying free room and board, the rate shall be as follows: January 1, 2024 – $190.00 per calendar day January 1, 2025 - $195.00 per calendar day January 1, 2026 - $200.00 per calendar day
14.02 When an employee is required to move on short notice and is required to pay for accommodation in two locations, the employee shall be reimbursed for one night’s accommodation at the first location.
14.03 In those geographic areas where costs for single person lodging, inclusive of GST, and meals exceed the amount of the daily subsistence allowance as defined in 14.01 above, this allowance shall be discussed and adjusted by the parties to reflect necessary increases at the Pre-job Conference in advance of the specific job commencement. If no Pre-job Conference has been held and this situation occurs, the Local Union shall contact the International Representative of the Union and the Employer to discuss and adjust the allowance as necessary.
14.04 Where the Employer is working a five-day work week project, each employee whose home is less than two hundred (200) road kilometres from the marshalling point or yard shall be paid subsistence allowance as provided for in 14.01 for five (5) days each week.
ROOM AND BOARD. Where a mobility worker is required to incur room and board expenses on behalf of the Contrac- tors, the mobility worker shall be xxxx- bursed for all vouchered expenses for travelling to and from such jobs.
ROOM AND BOARD. When an employee is required to temporarily relocate and reside at or near a project within one hundred (100) kilometers radius of the Parliament Peace Tower, the sum of fifty dollars ($50.00) per day or actu- al cost on presentation of receipts will be paid to the employee for board and lodging.
ROOM AND BOARD. 11.01 On jobs where camps are provided, room and board will be supplied in camp at no cost to the employee. Camp accommodations, when supplied, shall meet all the standards and requirements of the British Columbia and Yukon Territory Building Trades Council Camp Rules 1987 - 1997 as attached hereto. Any employee may refuse to live in accommodations which do not meet the above standards.
11.02 In areas where no camps are provided, the Employer will supply to every employee covered by this Agreement free room and board. These accommodations shall provide single room accommodations for each employee. Where the Employer is unable to provide single room accommodation, a pre-job meeting between the Employer and the Union shall be held prior to the commencement of the project, in order to arrive at a suitable arrangement for accommodations and travelling time allowances.
11.03 No employee shall accept any payment in lieu of free room and board in these areas except as provided for elsewhere in this Agreement.
11.04 Any employee who is accommodated by the Employer in camps may, on any weekend, vacate or check out of such accommodation and the Employer shall pay the employee twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per day. Any employee who is accommodated by the Employer in motels - hotels may, on any weekend, vacate or check out of such accommodation and the Employer shall pay the employee twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per day. To qualify, the employee must work the scheduled shift prior to the weekend and/or General Holiday and the scheduled shift after the weekend and/or General Holiday unless arrangements to the contrary are agreed upon between the employee and the Employer.
ROOM AND BOARD. On jobs outside the eighty (80) km (fifty (50) mile) limits as defined above where a contractor provides camp facilities, room and board will be provided to the Owner Operator/Dependent Contractor at no cost including overtime meals when necessary.
ROOM AND BOARD a. Room and board charges (“Charges”) are due according to the dates and amounts specified in the UC San Diego Housing Costs and Payment Schedule, which is incorporated herein by reference.
b. Payments of Charges are due without demand or billing at the UC San Diego Central Cashier’s Office, Mail Code 0009, 9500 Xxxxxx Drive, La Jolla, California 00000-0000, phone number (000) 000-0000. Payments will be applied to the Student’s oldest Charges first. Checks are to be made payable to “UC REGENTS.” Student acknowledges that a $20 charge will be assessed for each delinquent installment payment and each month it remains delinquent. Such charge is agreed to be, and is accepted as, a reasonable amount to compensate the University for the additional administrative costs and interest arising from a delinquent payment, the exact amount being impractical and extremely difficult to determine.
c. Student understands and agrees that if Student has any outstanding delinquent Charges, such unpaid balances may result in University holds that restrict access to future goods and services, including a hold that prevents Student from registering for University classes. Student also understands and agrees that such University holds are in addition to any other rights or remedies that may be available to University, whether by contract, by policy, and/or by law.
d. Xxxxxxx agrees to pay a one-time $30 administrative fee for selecting a quarterly or monthly billing installment.
e. Xxxxxxx agrees that there will be no proration of Charges for the first two weeks of occupancy and the first and last two weeks of each quarter, should Student move in later or move out earlier during these specific periods.
f. Regardless of the effective date of the Contract, Xxxxxxx agrees to pay a one-time $20 Activity Fee which will be assessed during the first billing.
g. Student agrees to pay a $25 fee when an employee of the UC San Diego Police Department provides lock out service. This includes but is not limited to Police Officers, Resident Security Officers, and Community Service Officers.
h. Charges include a furnished room (as determined in University’s sole discretion), cleaning services for the common areas, basic cable TV/internet, electricity, gas, sewer, trash, and water.
