Common use of Safety Glasses and Shoes Clause in Contracts

Safety Glasses and Shoes. The Company agrees to provide safety glasses for employees whose work is of such nature that such glasses are necessary. These glasses will be provided as required, and replaced by the Company when they have become unusable as a result of service, or broken while working on the job, or when changes in the employee’s optical prescription makes new lenses necessary. The Company will pay an annual allotment to employees in non-climbing job classifications in the amount of $80.00 toward the purchase of safety shoes. The Company will pay an annual allotment in the amount of $150.00 toward the purchase of climbing boots to employees in those classifications who, as a part of their job classification, are required to climb.
