Safety Plan. Prior to the start of construction activities, the Contractor shall prepare a safety plan for the construction phase conforming to OSHA 29 CFR 1926 (such plan, the “Safety Plan”). This Safety Plan developed by the Contractor shall describe the proposed separation and the specific nature of the safety measures to be taken including fences and barriers that will be used as well as the site security details. The Safety Plan will be submitted to the Department and Client Agency for their review and approval prior to the commencement of construction. Once the Safety Plan has been approved, the Contractor shall comply with it at all times during construction. The Contractor shall be required to revise the Safety Plan as may be requested by the Department or Client Agency. The cost of revising and complying with the plan shall not entitle the Contractor to an increase in the GMP.
