Salaries for New Nurses. A. The salary of nurses in classes requiring licensure as a registered nurse will be governed by the “N1” Range Salary Schedule. B. A nurse’s experience as a registered nurse (RN) and/or licensed practical nurse (LPN), calculated as follows, will determine the placement of a nurse on the proper step within an “N1” range:
