SALARY PROVISIONS UPON RESTORATION FROM LAYOFF. An employee who has been laid off or voluntarily demoted as a result of layoff and subsequently restored in their former classification within a two (2) year period from the date of his/her layoff or voluntary demotion, shall receive the following considerations and benefits: A. All sick leave credited to the employee's account when laid off shall be restored, unless the employee received compensation for such sick leave at the time of the layoff. B. All prior service shall be credited for the purpose of determining sick leave and vacation earning rate, longevity pay increases and time in step. C. The employee shall be placed on the step of the salary range that was held at the time of the layoff.
