Scope and status of the Parties. 16.1.1 In this Section 16, the terms “controller”, “data subject”, “personal data”, “personal data breach”, “process” (“processed” to be construed accordingly) and “processor” shall have the same meanings as in the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU)2016/679 (the “GDPR”). “Data Protection Laws” means the GDPR, the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and any replacement or supplementary legislation applicable to the processing of personal data applicable in the European Union or the United Kingdom from time to time.
