SCOPE OF AGREEMENT AND UNION SECURITY. SECTION 1.01 The Cooperative recognizes Local Union 702 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers as the exclusive bargaining agent and representative of the employees for the classifications as set forth in Appendix A. SECTION 1.02 It shall be a condition of employment that all employees of the Cooperative covered by this Agreement as set forth in Section 1.01 who are members of the Union in good standing on the effective date of this Agreement shall remain members in good standing. New employees and present employees who are not members of the Union on the effective date of this Agreement shall become and remain members in good standing in the Union on the thirty-first day following the effective date of this Agreement or the date of their employment whichever is the later and must, as a condition of employment, remain a member in good standing as that term is construed under the law.
