Common use of Sealing and Marking of Tenders Clause in Contracts

Sealing and Marking of Tenders. 2.17.1 The Tenderer shall seal the original and each copy of the tender in separate envelopes, duly marking the envelopes as “ORIGINAL” and “COPY.” The envelopes shall then be sealed in an outer envelope. 2.17.2 The inner and outer envelopes shall: (a) Be addressed to the Hospital at the following address  Bear tender number and name in the Invitation for Tenders and the words, “DO NOT OPEN BEFORE,” 14/09/2021 at 10.00 a.m 2.17.4 The inner envelopes shall also indicate the name and address of the tenderer to enable the tender to be returned unopened in case it is declared “late”. 2.17.5 If the outer envelope is not sealed and marked as required by paragraph 2.17.2, the Hospital will assume no responsibility for the tender’s misplacement or premature opening.
