Common use of Searchable Whois Clause in Contracts

Searchable Whois. Notwithstanding anything else in this Agreement, Registry Operator must offer a searchable Whois service compliant with the requirements described in Section 1.10 of Specification 4 of this Agreement. Registry Operator must implement at least one of the following mechanisms in order to prevent abuse of the searchable Whois service: • Username and password based authentication. • Certificate based authentication. • CAPTCHA (Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart) with rate-­‐limiting mechanism to prevent repetitive invocation of the service.
