Common use of Secondment Clause in Contracts

Secondment. 1. A teacher who is seconded to District duties for a temporary period not exceeding one year shall receive the same salary and allowance as prior to secondment. If the secondment is to a position currently named in the agreement, the teacher shall receive the greater of current total salary, or the salary and allowance of the named position. 2. Secondment will be to perform a specific task or tasks, or to serve in an acting capacity in a named position. 3. Should a position filled by secondment continue beyond one year, the salary, and allowance if any, for the second and subsequent years will be negotiated under the terms of Article E.20
