Section 12 - Study Leave. Upon recommendation of the Superintendent and approval of the 4 Board of Education, leave without compensation, increment, seniority, or tenure credit or other 5 benefits may be granted a permanent unit member for a period up to one (1) school year for the 6 purposes of educational improvement and advancement which are directly related to the unit 9 provide the District with written notice no less than sixty (60) days before the expiration date of 10 the leave, of his/her intent to return.
